When buying a new suit, or any item of new clothing, although how it looks on is of course important, your final decision making process will normally focus around the fact that it just feels right when you’re wearing it.
Have you noticed that sometimes when you are doing something it just feels right to you. I hope you have because it really is an amazing feeling.
I know that whenever I have just finished doing a coaching session or I’m sitting back having completed a speaking engagement whether live on stage or through a webinar, I know that it just feels right. I have done not only what I’m best at, what I enjoy more than most other roles, but also they’re the things that I believe most impact other people’s lives the thing I believe I was put on this earth to do.
It is this knowledge and the certainty that I’m doing what my destiny had mapped out for me, that has brought so much clarity and understanding from my darkest days.
If I hadn’t gone bankrupt, had my amazing home repossessed, lost all my money, had my marriage to a woman I’d planned to be with for ever come to an end, lost faith and the passion for the business I was in, then I wouldn’t have found myself in the position I’m now in, able to change people’s lives for the better, using my experiences failures and the lessons I’ve acquired on my journey to show anybody that no matter your age or what has happened to you, that you can always go on to reinvent your life.
I’m sitting here today at the Leeds Village Resort Hotel. We are on a small break, my birthday present to Laura-Jayne for her birthday. They’re all getting ready so we can go out to a ‘Tropical’ park and I’m doing the other thing I love and that’s write a blog.
I was a little disappointed earlier. Having just gone swimming with Colin the son in law and Amelia Mae my granddaughter, Rachel and I nipped to the local town to do some shopping. We went passed a gym that I had once worked for in my marketing capacity and I was a little upset by the fact that it was shut down. Closed and being offered for let.
The couple who had owned it were two great people Tony and Marion. Both as individuals were very talented people with so much to offer. They owned another club which had always been far more successful. Location, quality of staff and the fact they themselves had always managed it played a big part in that. But part of me does hope that they both have come to the realisation that life still has so much to offer and with a bit of guts they could use their natural talents to build such an amazing life because both of them have a bucketful of ability, and areas that their skills and passions combine.
When I knew them my online business was very much in its infant stage. My life now has virtually no similarity to those days. I have reinvented myself and so much prefer the life I now live.
My passions for personal development and coaching have taken over my life and have brought true passion to everything I do.
So my message for today to everyone is life’s not meant to be hard, full of struggles. It is supposed to be a journey where we find our passions create a life around these and go on to experience what can only be called a brilliant life.
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used everything you gave me.” ~Erma Bombeck
You just know when life’s on the right path everything just feels right.
