Why put up with doing a job you hate, or worse still collecting unemployment benefit when you can start your own business? Today, young people are facing an uncertain economy and are having a harder time competing in the job market than at any other time probably in history.
I believe that one of the answers is for them to go out on their own and become entrepreneurs. Yet what is more common is seeing high levels of unemployment or many young people doing mundane jobs that they hate.
So what is an entrepreneur?
An entrepreneur is someone who can spot business opportunities that will fill gaps in the market showing drive and initiative in launching a business to fill this gap. It all starts with an idea.
Getting started in business isn’t easy, but is the prospects of unemployment and financial hardship any better?
You just need an idea. Having a passion for this area would be awesome.
Ask yourself these three questions:
- Will I make money from it?
- Would anyone actually be interested in it?
- Would I enjoy doing this?
If you get three yes answers then you just have to begin.
Just get started, explore your ideas, put yourself out there, be willing to take the chance, and most importantly put your all into it!
Every business has a beginning. Every beginning comes from an idea. And every entrepreneur is:
- Unwavering in their desire to create something brilliant.
- Unwavering in their will to succeed.
- Unwavering in the number of hours they’re prepared to put into it
So many successful entrepreneurs are innovators behind great ideas. Great ideas begin the entrepreneur’s journey. It doesn’t matter how old you are. If you have something in your head that excites you, start building it into a business. Have faith in both yourself and your idea!
There is a price to pay!
You will have to put in countless hours day by day. Working into the late hours of the evening, spending Saturdays and Sunday continuing your work. It means going without vacations because no one else can operate and run the business while you’re away.
But I assure you it’s worth going into business for yourself.
So think about it, are you ready to start your own business and forge your own path?
Then as Nike say, just do it!
