When I say dare to dream I refer to those goals and visions that fire your heart. Those continuing visions of what you want your life to be at its highest level of fulfilment, what you want to do, how you want to do it, what you want to be and have. Your dream is that idea, that vision that burns inside of you–something you have to go for. It pushes you along. You have to follow your dreams.
Do you have a vision, a passion, a desire to do something?
Do you have a Dream? Maybe to make a big splash in the world or simply do good work from the heart that will improve the lives of others.
It was my daughters 18th birthday yesterday, a momentous time reached in the development of every human being. I found myself wondering how many young people have a powerful dream, they yearn to achieve. Those that do, how many are actually doing something to bring about their dream? I know for my daughter Carly her dream is to become a professional actress, and every week she travels quite a distance to drama school in the hope that this can help her on the road to turn her dream into reality.
There can be no doubts she has the talents, so she’s exploring her possibilities and trying to discover her full potential. Surely this is what every one should be doing.
Use what talents you possess, and take them as far as you can.
Yet so few actually dare to dream so they never fulfil hardly any of their potential. What a waste. Life shouldn’t be like this.
My life is made exciting by my dreams, by the visions I carry about of what I want to achieve. They keep me inspired and get me to take massive action day by day. They make sure I never take my eye of my target, and never lose belief in myself.
Every one of us should think big. In fact … Dream Big!
When you can see it, feel it, and believe in it, the manifestation of your dream will begin to take root and your dreams will become a reality. If you dare to dream, your vision will become your future.
My entire business has taken place somewhere where so many others have also found has changed our lives and this place is the creation from someone’s dreams. I’m talking about the world wide web. .
The man is Tim Berners-Lee. I only first heard about him when during the London Olympics he was introduced as the “Inventor of the World Wide Web”. As a he was eager to exchange data and results with others understanding the potential of millions of computers connected together through the Internet. By October 1990, he had specified the three fundamental technologies that remain the foundation of today’s Web
HTML: HyperText Markup Language. The publishing format for the Web, including the ability to format documents and link to other documents and resources.
URI: Uniform Resource Identifier. A kind of “address” that is unique to each resource on the Web.
HTTP: Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Allows for the retrieval of linked resources from across the Web.
He truly brought his vision into reality and by doing so changed the world.
Give yourself the go-ahead to just do it. Allow yourself to follow your dreams. His vision became all our futures.
