I’m taking a deep breath as I write this, because yesterday I launched our All The Missing Pieces Partnership Program where we will be mentoring others to build successful businesses online.
I was completely elated at the end of the webinar when one of the team turned around and said to me “I felt like I was in very good hands, somebody who knew the way and was ready to mentor, lead and guide us to success”. This took my breath away, and made me incredibly proud.
A mentor is one who supports the needs and aspirations of a mentee. This supportive attitude is critical to the successful development of the mentee. A mentor must encourage the mentee to accept challenges and overcome difficulties.
A mentor can help entrepreneurs on their journey towards success and enable them to build a thriving business. In addition to providing useful information and guidance, mentors are a great source of inspiration and confidence.
As Benjamin Disraeli once said, “The wisdom of the wise and the experience of the ages may be preserved by quotation”
I bring with me a lifetime of experience in work and life. Throughout my life, I have encountered many obstacles that were tough to face but I have held strong and overcome them.
At the centre of what I see as my role as a mentor is to help my mentee develop a clearer sense of what they want in their careers and their personal lives. Then it’s all about transferring information, competence, and experience to mentees, so that they can make good use of this, and achieve their goals.
My goal as a mentor at All The Missing Pieces is to help others make money by following their passions! To provide them with business tools and strategies that they can use to grow their business beyond anything they’ve ever expected, or even hoped for. I bring with me my personal development, entrepreneurial development, and life experiences to support the role I play. In a way I am giving them the potential to model my success and guide them on their very own journey to success.
Your success, happiness and in fact anything you truly want in your life depends on your unwavering desire, commitment, and persistence. But you also need knowledge and guidance.
I love sharing what I have learnt with others helping them on their journey to success. I take pleasure in not just seeing them succeed but helping them avoid many of the disappointment and despair they may well have come across without a mentor by their side. .
Zig Ziglar said, you can get anything you want in life by helping others get what they want. I like nothing more than bringing my experience and knowledge to help others achieve both personal and career change.
From my online partners perspective, my ability to provide them with a roadmap that will enable them to reach their destination far quicker than they possibly could without me. In some cases without the support I can give them, I’m sure like many they’d never reach their goals, and what a tragedy this would be.
By sharing the steps I have taken, I can provide them with road signs that will give clear directions and an easier journey than I had myself. They won’t have to gamble as much as I did, learning from the mistakes I made. And this is the joy of being a mentor.
They have a destination they want to reach, I can provide them with a set of directions and a vehicle to help them get there. I want their success as much as they do.
Once you have your destination, knowing how to get there is critical. Learning from someone who has done it before can help, and getting a step-by-step program or process can make things a lot easier.
