I have the fortune of coming across people who have been brave enough to follow their passions. Their instincts have told them to do something, something that defies logic, makes them takes risks, to walk away from a comfortable salary which seems stupid to others. But they are brave, and driven by their passions and determined to follow their dreams they ignore logic, ignore the odds, ignore the naysayers and just go for it.
This is not an easy thing to do. And to prove you were right takes both a lot of time and effort. You’ll meet many obstacles, and face many disappointments on the way. At times you may even look at things and question yourself, realising how hard things can be, and doubting the wisdom of your decision.
But deep within you, you know this was the right thing to do. We were all born to be brilliant. I believe we were all created with a calling, a specific life’s purpose that we were intended to fulfil.
I met a lady today that was a perfect example of somebody that has risked so much on following her passions. Her talents are unquestionable, and the effort she puts in is demonstrated by what she has done. But success eludes her. Her heart is in the right place, she wants to offer quality in everything she does, and she is someone who will help anyone if she can.
She realises, like so many others, that the internet offers a world of opportunity. But as she demonstrates it does take more than just your talents and hard work to be successful.
She puts in so much effort, and is so desperate to eventually earn enough to become financially comfortable and secure. You can’t fault her for her effort, or for the amount of research she has done, and she has gone as far as paying people for their professional expertise to support her, to no avail. If you read my blog regularly, you know I’m not a great fan of these so called guru’s, particularly those in the make money online market place. Most haven’t made any themselves, and others it’s taken 10 years to build a descent income. And wonderful ladies like her who don’t know any better believe that they can deliver the final piece of the jigsaw, and as long as you’re prepared to pay lots of money to them they’ll give it to you. Well it doesn’t work like that, well not with most of what’s on offer out there.
And what these guru’s don’t get, or more like don’t care about, is they knock the stuffing out of good people. Well if this didn’t work for me, nothing will. What’s the point of carrying on? This is the effect that their rubbish causes.
So many get to the point that this road they’ve taken paved with a silver lining begins to fade with every step. Their frustration climbs to unbearable amounts. But while there is still a glimmer of hope they carry on.
The fantastic thing about this lady is nothing will completely break her belief in herself. Her philosophy was obvious to me, “If you want anything bad enough, you can do it.” She knows she has the personal responsibility for how her life turns out, and she has no intentions of giving up.
No matter how many large clouds appear on her horizon, she just keeps going, knowing the right things will come her way, eventually. She may be a small business owner struggling to survive online, but she has a lot going for her.
She has made a brilliant impact in the social network arena, and has created around herself a very interconnected community of loyal followers. She hasn’t abused this following by hitting them over the head with shallow self-endorsements, and hard hitting buy from me now messages, but rather generated meaningful conversation.
Add to this that she’s built for herself solid novel products and useful original services, there is undoubtedly an opportunity awaiting her.
She knows that it’s not just her in the home business world, over 95% of those who try to earn money online struggle to survive.
As someone with a passion for her field of work, she has kept going and made the right opportunities come her way.
I have a feeling she’s about to make the break through that her passions and her efforts deserve. She’s been struggling to survive online, but not for much longer.
