I really believe failure isn’t final, and in reality you make it far worse by feeling sorry for yourself, worrying about it and basically wasting time where you cry over spilt milk.
All the tears in the world will not change the outcome of what’s happened so it’s pointless wasting time beaten yourself up over what’s occurred.
Instead you need to bounce back.
Think about the top tennis players like Federer, he will have lost many points, games, sets and matches.
Famous actors like Sylvester Stallone had so many rejections at auditions.
I’m sure even high rope walkers have fallen off hopefully in practice where they had a safety net under them.
But they don’t give up, or stay in a down mood feeling sorry for themselves, well not for long anyway.
They don’t spend an age thinking about:
What If
Should Have’s
Could Have
Would Have
They know how futile it is to look back at what has gone except to learn from their mistakes understanding where they went wrong, then they move on.
They don’t dwell on the past or worry too much about what cannot be changed. Instead they look forward and prepare for their next challenge.
They assess their situation, set targets and work hard to make their future better.
Accept that life will be full of problems, where we will face obstacles. We will make mistakes, have no doubt about that. We will make poor decisions. But none of it needs to mean anything as long as we stay strong and resolute about going on to taste final victory. So waste no time, don’t cry over spilt milk.
