While I was working on my About Page for my planned transformation of this blog site I started to think about my story and its importance behind everything I do.
I realised that everybody’s life’s journey probably contains something that can inspire, motivate and encourage others so telling your story is crucial if you want to make the difference.
At the beginning of my new ‘About Me’ page this is what I say:
I am using my life’s story and experiences to demonstrate to you that you must never give up. Whatever crisis you face or disaster you have gone through you need to understand that there are still going to be many opportunities and possibilities awaiting you.
Wherever you may be in life right now your future is yet to be written and nothing says you have to stay where you are.
My life has gone through some incredible life experiences. Those which are relevant to my journey from failure to success, I will share, warts and all. I will share the wealth of knowledge I have acquired to help you achieve your desired goals, in the hope that I can inspire you to make it all the way through to the winning line.
I believe that by sharing my disaster and failures I can encourage others to believe that they can still turn their lives around. I certainly have, and that to me is the message I now want to be broadcasting. If I can, anybody can, and I’m here to help.
I read the other day that you shouldn’t let people in on your secrets particularly if they can be seen as negative or demonstrating your failure. Well I am telling you this is ‘bullshit, ’ excuse my french.
My advice to you all is to be honest. Your story may resonate with others, who are on a similar road, and your experience may be invaluable to them. So share your story with the world and play a part in changing and shaping other people’s lives.

Spend time on your About Page and your story, and make sure you show your genuine human side to convince your readers that you’re not just another faceless company. You will make a lasting impact so go ahead and let. them know who you are and what your background is.
