I do wonder if people find me a little strange sometimes.
Sitting out by the pool soaking up the sun on the island of Lanzarote with my laptop between my legs while I tap away at the keyboard. Other times standing on my balcony working away again on my laptop while watching the world passing by.
They must notice the smile on my face, the deep focus given away from my eyes.
I’m asking myself today how many other people are as fortunate as me, being able to do what we love to do. If I was back at home, my work is that thing that excites me, that gets me up early to work on it and at times stay up late to get things finished. As it is something I love to do why then would I stop doing it just because I’ve decided to catch a couple of weeks away in the sun. How many others would jump at the chance if I said, you too could turn your passion into a business.
There’s nothing better than having a business that makes you jump out of bed in the morning and excited to get to work. Better still a business that meets a need in the market place but also combines your passions and bring you happiness. Everyone of you could turn your passion into a business!
We were born to do what we love to do. Resting up by the pool, relaxing in the sun releases far more of my creativity, what a waste it would be if I didn’t use some of this and carry on working. . Continuous creative activity and the joy and satisfaction of building your dream is a great source of happiness, and I can’t think of a better setting than this to work away at.
As a personal development coach I talk a lot about work-life balance. But to me when there is a synergy between your life, your passions and your business, balance just happens automatically.
How can anything be better than what I have now.
It’s my Business! It’s my Passion! It’s Profitable! It’s my life’s dream!

Anyone could combine their passions to their business. I truly believe nothing can be better than to turn your passion into a business.
So how do you follow your passion into business?
If you think your passion or hobby has potential as a business, ask yourself,
Is this something I really enjoy doing and can sustain?
What is it about my offerings that are unique or hard to find?
Is this something people really want?
But what if you’re someone that has lost touch with what your passions are?
It’s possible. You just need to find your passion and then link a business idea to it. First you have to find your passion. Start by reflecting and looking inside of your mind, to uncover your passion, ask yourself this question:
What do you enjoy doing with your free time?
Sometimes, what we do with our “free time” can be an indicator of what gives us the greatest joy and happiness.
What did you love to focus on, think about and explore when you were a child?
Think about what you enjoyed as a child, things like sports, hobbies, favourite subjects in school, this will help you uncover interesting indicators about your previous, just forgotten passions.
If you were free from all the things that limit you and hold you back, in what direction would you go?
Allow yourself to put aside your limiting beliefs acknowledge and reconsider your hidden aspirations. We all dream, some just forget what they once allowed themselves to dream about.
Your passions are there, just give yourself time to find them.
Once you do, the business idea in itself won’t be hard to find.
You just have to ask the right questions to find the right business idea for you.
[li]Is it something you know how to do and you believe you can do it well?[/li] [li]Is it something you would like to do and wouldn’t mind doing it day after day?[/li] [li]Is it something that can be sold at a price that will cover all of your expenses and overhead plus return a healthy profit?[/li] [li]So what is your product or service that you will sell?[/li] [li]How will it add value to people’s lives?[/li] [li]How can you increase interest and buzz around your product or service?[/li]There are always ways to create a life around both your needs and passions. Find what your passions are and build a business around them.
