I love Olympic time! In fact I’m an Olympic junkie! I’ve downloaded the app to my iPhone & constantly have the BBC Olympics Stream open on my laptop.
I even love watching the news and reading the newspapers all filled with inspiring stories of amazing athleticism and inspiring achievements. Better than the depressing news we normally get.
Team GB has had a fantastic time so far at the Olympics and it’s hoped their success will inspire lots of people to take up sports. There’s a Sport for Everyone. Ping-pong. Archery. Water polo. Fencing. Kayaking. Cycling. Rowing. Canoeing. Windsurfing. Boxing. Yoga. The list just goes on and on.
Hey I’ve got my cycle out of cold storage, and am ready to hit the road like Bradley Wiggins. God help me when I hit the first hill, may have to jump off the bike and start pushing.
It would be great if you could become the next tennis star like Andy Murray, or cycling star like Victoria Pendleton or run like a Mo Farrah. Maybe one of my readers is a future Olympic gold medallist.
Only a very few of us are meant to be Olympic athletes.
Has watching the Olympics got you in the mood you to try something new? Maybe to follow your passions in whatever area they may lie.
We can all use the inspiration of the Olympics to start living our own dreams to achieve our goals. So we can be winning the gold medal of life.
When any athlete starts out in their chosen sport, they may have dreams of winning at the Olympics, but they know that’s a long off distant dream. To make it come real they have a long journey ahead of them with lots of blood, sweat and tears. And bucketful’s of hard work. But they do everything possible to make it happen.
You owe it to yourself to take that time to explore and discover where your passions lie.
If I were a genie and could grant you anything you wanted, don’t tell me you wouldn’t be interested in finding a pastime (career, hobby, part-time adventure) that not only paid the bills but also made your life fantastic.
“Vocation is where our greatest passion meets the world’s greatest need.” Frederick Buechner
Once you’ve identified your passion, you can begin to reorient your life around it.
Finding your passion is your brilliance. This is what makes you a star! This is how you can truly make a contribution in life!
So don’t duck the question any longer. What is your Passion? What gets you really excited? What you love to do? What do you never tire of talking about?. What is it you should be doing?
In conclusion, I want you to know how intensely important passion is to your life and business. On this blog I focus on passion because it is the core emotion that makes success possible. I’m telling you today that you can be anything you want to be, yes maybe even an Olympian.
How are the Olympics inspiring you? I’d love to hear your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
